The Last day of February

It’s the last day of February 2017. The temperature outside is close to 40 degree Celsius. The wind is dry and hot and there is a haze outside, the result of sporadic felt fires. We feel hot and sticky, drained of energy and can smell the burning heat of the day. However the kids are dancing up a storm. We have special guests today. Hendrik du Plessis has  brought two friend who may help us fundraise. They are our guests of honor and the kids don’t hold anything back as they run through their repertoire under the watchful eye of Fiona who lets out the odd scream to discipline their exuberance.  Another wonderful afternoon where we the audience returns to our lives feeling energized by these kids of Zolani.
